Adult & Youth Wheelchair Lacrosse

Our wheelchair lacrosse team competes in regional matches and tournaments throughout the year and is affiliated with the Buffalo Bandits NLL lacrosse team. The team meets for regular practices but anyone is welcome to stop by and give lacrosse a try. If you can hold a stick and maneuver your chair, you can play.

In August of 2024, members and coaches of our Buffalo Bandits Wheelchair Lacrosse team traveled to Albany, NY, to conduct an introductory lacrosse clinic for wheelchair athletes of that region. Our goal is to conduct clinics in other regions that align with National Lacrosse League (NLL) teams.

Stand-up Lacrosse

We created our stand-up lacrosse program for children and adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. The program consists of one practice weekly for 6-8 weeks in the summer. The program is run by local high school coaches and athletes.

We now have more than 25 athletes participating in our Monday night stand-up lacrosse program. Our adult wheelchair lacrosse team coaches the sessions along with local high school lacrosse athletes. During the final session of 2024, our athletes showed their skills in scrimmages, which featured surprise visits from Buffalo Bandits players Tehoka Nanticoke and Zack Belter.

The stand-up adaptive and wheelchair lacrosse seasons run May-August.
