Wheelchair Tennis

GBAS began its tennis journey participating in a USTA Adaptive and Wheelchair Tennis Symposium in the summer of 2022. We began our own programming in the summer of 2023, with additional sessions in December. Our programs are coached by a USPTA certified instructor, using USTA Wheelchair Tennis skills and drills programming.

During the 2024 summer, GBAS helped Rochester Accessible Adventures start a wheelchair tennis program of their own through an eight-week session and assistance from GBAS coaches.

Be sure to follow our social media or subscribe to our newsletter to stay up to date on programs and events.

Upcoming Tennis Events:

May is National Tennis Month!

The GBAS Wheelchair Tennis & Red Ball Social is open to everyone! Beginner or experienced wheelchair athletes, friends and family can all play together at this fun-filled event.

With the USTA’s Red Ball play, everyone gets a racquet in their hand and begins playing within minutes! The first doubles team to four games wins, with games being only four points!

Play alongside wheelchair athletes and hop in a chair to try it yourself!
