Adaptive Cycling

It all started with a dream of several athletes to participate in a community bike ride. In 2024, GBAS participated in the Ride for Roswell with 22 adaptive handcycles and 50 total riders! We completed a 10 mile ride to show our support to friends, family, and athletes who have all encountered cancer and raise funds for the life-saving research and medical care that Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center provides their patients.
During the ride, our friends at West Herr Automotive Group graciously donated an additional 10 adaptive handcycles that could be used for years and rides to come! Fast forward to 2025 where GBAS now has 20+ handcycles donated West Herr Automotive and the Scott Bieler Family Foundation and our other community partners.
We are excited to offer more community rides and support individuals in WNY who benefit from the mobility freedom provided by these bikes. Ride on!
Pedal for Parks '25
Twenty-five GBAS athletes and volunteers took part in the 11 mile ride to support NY State Parks and kick off the partnership between our organization and New York State Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation! We will continue to venture into the wild with our friends at NY State Parks.
The ride explored Artpark & Joe Davis Parks in Niagara County.
